For us, this project was about breathing new life into a long-overlooked pocket on the edge of the city. We saw the chance to do more than simply design a building – we wanted to create a people-powered hub and mixed-use destination that sparks community connection and supports local enterprise.

Set proudly on a prominent corner, this building “in the round” makes a bold yet welcoming statement, embracing its setting from every angle. The podium appears to float lightly above the ground plane, opening up a generous, inviting arrival experience. From the street, people are drawn naturally into the heart of the building, blurring the line between public and private spaces.

We designed tower floorplates with an offset, side-core configuration that maximises natural light and frames expansive views of the city skyline, enhancing the quality of open-plan workspaces. Integral to its 5 Star Green Star rating, the building features a high-performance façade system with integrated shading fins, supporting both sustainability and occupant comfort.

Community-focussed amenities at ground level include co-working spaces to support emerging businesses, conferencing facilities, café, childcare centre and a work club providing convenience and connection for tenants and visitors alike.

A naturally focussed material palette is guided by the site’s vegetated parkland setting and outlook through and over trees to the city. Off-form concrete has been used at the podium level to reflect the organic textures and tonal variation of the environment, offering a sense of granularity, plasticity and natural variation.

Positioned at the gateway to the precinct, this development establishes a strong yet sensitive entry statement that anchors the site and balances the scale of development occurring north of Great Eastern Highway. Thoughtfully scaled and sensitively designed, we’ve created a project that enhances its neighbourhood while capturing sweeping views of the river and city skyline.
