Conceived as a “work meets wellness” business hub, the development comprises a pair of hybrid towers that are wrapped in a lush green veil. Not only does this soften the architectural form but it enhances biophilic connections while supporting cognitive performance, wellbeing, and environmental quality. At ground level, expansive garden setbacks extend the leafy character of West Perth directly into the site, reinforcing the precinct’s unique identity and reinstating the idea of a building within a landscape – around 60% of the site is given over to landscaping and publicly accessible open space at ground level.
More than a workplace, we have designed this hybrid environment to support healthy, active lifestyles with a curated mix of amenities including gyms, swimming pools, childminding, serviced apartments, hospitality venues, and al fresco dining. These facilities deliver a level of service and comfort akin to a boutique hotel or resort, offering an exceptional experience for staff, guests, and collaborators alike.
The campus is built around the evolving nature of work – one that transcends boundaries of time and place. If the workplace is no longer somewhere you have to be, it must become somewhere you want to be and this project embraces that shift, prioritising comfort, flexibility, and connection across every touchpoint. The twin tower configuration – a northern office tower and a southern amenities tower linked by a shared podium – creates an optimised campus environment underpinned by passive design principles to harness sunlight, optimise views, and protect outdoor spaces from prevailing winds.
Designed with evidence-based biophilic strategies and committed to a 5 Star Green Star rating, the development signals a major commitment to environmental stewardship. New tree planting and deep soil zones contribute to the city’s urban canopy targets, while sustainable systems and building upgrades futureproof the campus for generations to come.
At once aspirational and grounded in place, Hancock Prospecting’s new headquarters is a transformative project that sets a new workplace benchmark.
